The Confirmation Classes will be each Sunday at 4pm, for 10 weeks.
Sunday February 5th, "Souper Bowl" Luncheon at Noon. Cost will be $7.00, one dollar will go to the food bank, the rest of the money will go toward the youth mission trip this summer, and to projects for the Kings Kids.
Administrative Council will meet Monday February 6, at 6:00pm.
The children, "Kings Kids" will have their weekly activities beginning at 5:30pm with a light supper, each Sunday afternoon. They will do music, art, and perform short skits. If you have a young one, 4 years through 5th grade, bring them to participate in this new program at FUMC. Ann Moon is the faciliator for this program as the Children's Program Coordinator. The United Methodist Youth Fellowship, better know as the "Youth Group," meet at the same time each Sunday evening. This is for youth who are in the 6 through 12th grades. Kristi Huffstetler is the Assistant co-ordinator, Brother Bill helps until we can find a leader for the group.
Beth Moore Bible Study each Tuesday at 2:00pm Wednesday Night Bible Study, on Nehemiah and Ezra, at 6:00pm. each Wednesday night.
The Veterans Administration has a support group that meet the 4th Thursday of each month. This is a counselling program for veterans who have a post traumatic stress disorder. If you or someone you know has this problem, the V. A. is here to help you. The counselor for this program is Mary Davis, from The Veterans Hospital in Shreveport.There will be no meetings in November or December.
Our United Methodist Women will have their monthly meeting Monday,February 20,at 2:00pm, at the church.
The Golden Agers will begin to meet again in March.
